The Blood Test Analysis

For when your blood test results say your ‘fine’ but you don’t feel fine…

Have you been told by your GP your blood test results are ‘normal’ but you don’t feel like your normal self?

It’s time for a second opinion!

You’ve done the right thing. You went to the doctor, had the blood tests, and hoped for answers but instead, you walked away feeling confused, dismissed, and no closer to understanding what’s actually going on in your body.

Maybe your GP told you everything looks “fine” or prescribed a basic iron supplement but didn’t explain what they were looking for, what your results actually mean, or how to identify and improve the numbers that were just outside the ideal range.

You’re left staring at a page of numbers with no real guidance, still feeling tired, inflamed, anxious, wired, low in mood or just not like yourself.

That’s where The Blood Test Analysis Consultation come in!

Here’s the thing most people don’t realise…

Standard blood test interpretation is based on broad reference ranges - values that show where most people sit, not where you function best. These ranges are helpful for diagnosing illness, but they can completely miss early signs of imbalance or deficiency.

You might be told everything is “within range,” when in reality, your body is already sending quiet red flags.

But this is how my approach is different…

As a naturopath trained in functional testing, I assess your blood results using optimal ranges - tighter, more specific markers that reflect what your body needs to feel and function at its best. I don’t just look at whether something is technically ‘low’ or ‘high’ - I assess patterns across your full panel, how your systems are interacting, and what those numbers are really saying in the context of your symptoms.

This means I often see things others miss…

This means I often catch subtle but significant imbalances your GP may not, like early signs of nutrient depletion, inflammation or immune deficiencies, blood sugar dysregulation, subclinical thyroid dysfunction, hormonal changes and digestive imbalances.

Because when you don’t feel fine - it’s not fine. And your bloods might already be giving us all the answers and showing us why.

What’s Included?

This isn’t a printout, a generic report, or a quick “everything looks fine.”

This is a dedicated, 1:1 consultation where we sit down together and look closely at your recent blood test results through a functional, personalised lens. I’ll walk you through what each relevant marker means, how it relates to your symptoms, and what your body may be trying to communicate.

You’ll have space to ask questions, gain clarity, and leave feeling informed, empowered, and supported with a plan that’s actually tailored to you. No guesswork, no vague advice, just real answers and practical next steps.

Here’s what’s included in your Blood Test Analysis Consultation:

  • In this online session, we’ll go through your recent blood test results together. I’ll guide you through each relevant marker using functional and optimal reference ranges, helping you understand what’s sitting outside your personal “sweet spot” even if it’s technically still within normal lab values. You’ll have time to ask questions and finally feel like someone is listening and actually explaining things clearly.

  • Your blood work will be reviewed using functional and optimal reference ranges, which allow us to identify patterns and early signs of imbalance that are often missed in standard interpretations. This means we’re not just looking at whether your results are “within range” - we’re asking if they’re ideal for you and whether they’re contributing to how you feel. This means you are about to receive so many more answers for your health concerns!

  • Following our session, you’ll receive your treatment plan tailored to your results and symptoms. This may include:

    • Specific nutrition and food-based guidance

    • Supplement recommendations (with suggested dosages)

    • Lifestyle or habit changes to support underlying imbalances

    • Optional suggestions for additional testing (if needed)

This is a real plan - not a generic template. Everything is specific to you and based on what we find together.

  • Clients who book an Initial Consultation during the session will receive $50 off.

Many clients choose to take this next step to continue exploring underlying root causes and build out a more comprehensive care plan.

Who Is This For?

You don’t need another vague answer. You need someone to help you connect the dots.

This session is ideal if:

  • You’ve recently had blood tests done and were told everything is “normal,” but you still don’t feel like yourself.

  • You’re feeling fatigued, foggy, inflamed, anxious, low in mood, or just off and want to understand why.

  • You’re curious about what your results mean from a functional or preventative lens, not just a diagnostic one.

  • You want clear, tailored recommendations - not generic advice.

  • You’re not ready to dive into a full consultation just yet, but want to take a meaningful step toward understanding your health.

This is a great option whether you’re looking for clarity, a second opinion, or just someone to finally take the time to explain your results properly.

This session is not suitable if…

  • You’re seeking urgent medical care or a formal diagnosis.

  • You’re looking for support beyond blood test interpretation in which case, an Initial Consultation would be more appropriate.

  • You’re expecting a full naturopathic case review & treatment plan based on your entire health history (this is offered in Initial & Review Consults).

How to Get Your Blood Tests

If you don’t already have recent blood test results (within the past 6 months), don’t worry, there are a couple of simple options available to get them sorted before your session.

Option 1

You can request a full blood panel through your doctor, and if they agree the tests are clinically relevant, they’ll be covered by Medicare.

I recommend having the following core blood tests done at least once a yearDownload the recommended list here

To do this:

  • Book an appointment with your GP

  • Bring along the list of recommended tests

  • Your GP will determine which tests they’re willing to order

Important: It’s up to your doctor’s discretion what they include, so if you’d like more control or access to additional markers, Option 2 may be better suited.

Ideal Testing Conditions

To get the most accurate results, it’s important to follow some simple prep steps — including fasting, hydration, avoiding supplements, and timing your blood test correctly. Click here to download the full Ideal Testing Conditions Guide (PDF)

Option 2

If you’d prefer to skip the GP or want more flexibility, you can order your blood tests privately through one of these trusted online services:

  • Instant Scripts: I recommend the General Health Blood Test. A great basic panel for understanding your nutritional and metabolic health.
Tip: Add Vitamin D for a more complete picture!

  • iScreen: If you’re looking to assess your hormones in more depth, i-screen offers thorough, practitioner-grade panels.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Most clients bring results from standard GP-ordered panels, but I can also review private tests. Ideally, your results should be from the past few months (6 months max.) and include key markers like iron studies, thyroid function, vitamin D, B12, liver/kidney function, cholesterol and a full blood count. If you’re unsure, just ask — I’m happy to check them before you book in.

  • Yes - as long as they include the relevant markers and were done in the last 6 months, I can absolutely use those. Just send them through before your session.

  • This session is focused only on interpreting your blood results and giving you a personalised plan based on those findings only. It’s perfect if you’re looking for clarity, answers, or a next step - but if you're after a full case review or ongoing care, an Initial Consultation would be more appropriate.

  • The Blood Test Analysis is a great first step if you’re not ready to dive into a full consultation yet. But if you know you want a more in-depth, whole-body approach from the beginning, you can absolutely book an Initial Consultation instead. We’ll still go through your blood test results, but with added time to explore your full health history, symptoms and goals in more detail.

If you’re unsure which is the best fit, feel free to book a complimentary Clarity Call and I can help guide you.

  • Great! If you book an Initial Consultation during your Blood Test Analysis session, you’ll receive $50 off the full consult fee.

  • All Blood Test Analysis consultations are held online via Zoom - easy, private, and flexible from anywhere in Australia.

  • Absolutely. If you follow a plant-based, vegan or vegetarian diet, your consultation will include blood marker interpretation and nutrition planning tailored to your unique needs. I’ll ensure all supplement and dietary recommendations are aligned with your lifestyle.

What Clients Are Saying…

  • “I could not recommend Kayla enough! Kayla has so much expertise, empathy, and kindness in the way she works. I was having issues with my fatigue, and all GPs would say my blood test results were fine. I have learnt that GPs are trained to look at a reference range, and some of my results were barely in there. Kayla has recognised these deficiencies and small details and has arranged supplements to boost my levels, energy and overall health.”

  • “Kayla has been an absolutely knowledgable and wonderful support into my health journey. We started off with a blood test analysis consultation where she broke down what my results meant, and has continued to work with me and within my lifestyle and budget to achieve positive and healthy outcomes. I always feel relaxed and at ease with Kayla and to have someone just hear, support and understand your health challenges is something hard to come by!! Can’t recommend enough”
