Sushi Tacos

You Will Need

Base Ingredients

  • 1 cup sushi rice

  • 3 x seaweed sushi sheets

  • 2 tsp sushi rice seasoning

Fillings (Choose Your Favorite!)

  • Sashimi-grade salmon, tuna, chicken, or tofu

  • Avocado

  • Cucumber

  • Kewpie mayo

  • Sriracha

  • Spring onions

  • Sesame seeds

How to Make

  1. Cook the Sushi Rice

    • If using a rice cooker, cook 1 cup of sushi rice according to your machine’s instructions.

    • If cooking on the stove, follow the package directions.

    • One cup of rice makes enough for three tacos.

  2. Season the Rice

    • Once cooked, fluff the rice and spread it onto a tray to cool.

    • Drizzle over the sushi rice seasoning and toss to combine.

    • Place in the fridge until needed.

  3. Prepare the Seaweed

    • Cut the seaweed sheets into circles.

  4. Assemble the Tacos

    • Wet your hands and spread a thin layer of rice over each seaweed sheet, leaving a 1 cm border around the edges.

    • Lightly spray with oil.

  5. Shape & Cook

    • If using a large basket air fryer, create three foil "logs" to help hold the taco shape.

    • Place the foil between each taco to support them while they cook.

    • Air fry at 180°C for 15 minutes until crispy.

  6. Prepare the Fillings

    • While the tacos cook, slice your chosen fillings.

  7. Assemble & Serve

    • Once the tacos are crispy, fill them with your favorite toppings.

    • Drizzle with kewpie mayo, sriracha, and top with spring onions.

    • Enjoy!
